One of our Cloverdale Traditional School traditions is giving back to those in need. For over 10 years, students and families have donated money to support our Sister School in Katesh, Tanzania. Last year the donations raised $543.00. Catriona Harker, past principal of Cloverdale, sent us pictures showing the smiling faces of the children and teachers with the supplies purchased with our donations. (school supplies, a clock, teacher charts and reference books along with story books and soccer balls )
The grade 5 students are eager to continue the tradition and are taking this on as one of their Leadership projects this year. They are asking for your help. From December 7th – 18th, they will be collecting donations for our Sister School. Donations can be sent to school with your child. They will be collected and counted by our grade 5 students. All funds will go directly to Mrs. Harker who will continue to use the funds to support the students at Lamay Primary School.
On behalf of all of our grade 5 leadership students we thank you for your continued support.
