Black & Orange Day & Costume Day - See Details

Halloween costumes may be worn to school on October 31. Thisis an option alongside the orange and black many chose to wear. Please rememberstudents should be able to move freely, be independent for things like bathroomtrips, and easily able to participate in all school activities, such as gym,classroom activities and recess times outside. The costumes will be safe, withno dragging pieces or tripping concerns. We ask for no masks, no props andnothing scary or with ‘blood’. We appreciate everyone will consider culturalsensitivity if choosing to wear a costume.
Friday, October 24 will be a teacher professionaldevelopment day, with no students in session. Our teachers have wide rangingpassions and are working on interesting new learning for themselves: outdooreducation, math workshops, technology initiatives, careers, science planning,and much more.

Anti-Bullying/Pink Shirt Day

We encourage all students and staff to participate by wearing a pink shirtor sporting something pink. Pink Shirt Day is celebrated all around the world.The original event was organized by David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick,Nova Scotia, who, in 2007, bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after a malestudent was bullied for wearing a pink shirt.
