SCHOOL UPDATES:
Principal’s Message
Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year at Cloverdale. We have had an exciting first few days as we meet and greet new friends and get reacquainted with classmates from previous years. Our transitions have been smooth and our students continue to live up to Cloverdale’s high standards of citizenship, respect and responsibility. We have begun another school year, full of outstanding potential. We have been saying hello to returning families and welcoming all the new families to our community. It is definitely my privilege to work with such a tremendous team of educators, students and parents again this year and we all look forward to a terrific year of learning.
Cloverdale School has new staff to introduce:
Ms. Tricia Byer
Ms. Ceri Hart
Ms. Jeanne Kentel
Ms. Alanna Wish
Ms. Chili Berisoff
Please take a moment to introduce yourself.
Please remember, will be hosting Meet the Teacher as we did last fall, beginning at 5pm, on September 16, with a short introduction, before families move to classrooms. We look forward to seeing you!
Be well, have a safe and fun weekend.
Parent Parking and Drop off/Pick Up
We ask that when parents are dropping off and picking up that they do not park in the staff parking lot behind staff cars. Our staff all come and go at different times, and it is a problem when they cannot get in or out. The staff parking lot is off limits for parents.
Parking is also available behind the school on Linwood or on side streets surrounding the school area. Please do not park at Thrifty Foods as there is a possibility that you may be towed.
We have recently had complaints about speed in our parking lot. Please remember that no matter the time of day, there are often children in and around our lot. It is imperative that folks enter the lot slowly
Meet the Teacher Night and Community Picnic
Join us Wednesday, September 16, for our Meet the Teacher Night and Community Picnic. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a brief message from our Principal outside on the field. From there we invite families inside to visit their child’s classroom. Teachers will do a brief 10-minute session at 5:15 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. to allow those with more than one child to attend more than one session in more than one classroom.
Once the sessions are over, we are pleased to host a Community Picnic. Bring your picnic blanket or law chairs and join us on the back field. We will have the Greek on the Street food truck (see the menu here – prices subject to change) and the Candy Time Food Truck (selling snacks of mini donuts, lemonade, snow cones, and cotton candy). Families can also bring their own picnic. We are so excited to have a social gathering for our families again!
This event has been well received in past years. We always have a great turn out and families enjoy meeting and visiting with other Cloverdale families. Thank you to CTS PAC for helping with the costs associated with arranging these food trucks to attend. We hope to see everyone there!
A reminder to families that there is absolutely no parent parking available on the school grounds. Please consider parking close by and walking, carpooling, utilizing public transit, or using the drive to 5 locations

Photos begin at 8:45 and run through most of the day. We are unable to confirm what time each class will have their photos taken, as there are many contributing factors. Please plan for your child to be in attendance for the entire day in order to ensure that they don’t miss their photo. For those that are away, we will host a retake day in October. More info to come.
No pre-ordering is required, All children will be photographed and a QR code to access your child’s photo, and order prints (if you wish) will come to parents within a couple weeks.
