SCHOOL UPDATES:
Principal’s Message
We are well on our way in this third and final term of school, and as usual, we are very busy at Cloverdale. Students have been diligent with classroom learning and projects.
We will celebrate Rainbow week, June 1-5, which is intended to spread the message that Everyone is Welcome Here at Cloverdale.
A special thank you to Luke, with the support of Mrs. Black and Mr. Gartly, for coaching and supporting our Rugby team. The children experienced a very successful jamboree.
The track team has celebrated after many weeks of training, taking part in the zone meet at UVIC. Congratulations to all and, thank you to teachers and volunteers for the dedication to this sporting event.
The school did some fundraising for one set of floor curling equipment, while PAC paid for two extra sets. This means that entire classes can be engaged with the equipment during gym time. Thank you to PAC for this exciting purchase.
The PAC Year End Party is coming up soon on Friday, June 12th from 5-7PM. There will be inflatable obstacle course, outdoor games, face painting, a cake walk, raffle prizes and more! Pizza, drinks, snacks, snow cones and baked goods will be available for purchase by cash, card or etransfer. The PAC is looking for volunteers as well as raffle prize donations. To learn more or sign up to help, there is info posted on the Facebook Group (Cloverdale Elementary School Families (Victoria BC)) as well as on their website (ctspac.square.site).

We also encourage our students and staff to dress in the color of the day each day. Monday will be red and orange clothing, Tuesday will be yellow and green clothing, Wednesday is blue clothing, Thursday is purple clothing, and Friday is rainbow colors. Participation is voluntary.

DISTRICT & COMMUNITY UPDATES:
1000 x 5
390,000 books in 15 years donated to new homes where they are needed. THANK YOU!!!! At this time of the year we prepare an extra supply for the many agencies that send books home with families all summer. Please do a summer clean of your bookshelves and help another child succeed by having a home library. Take your gently used books for babies to five year olds to the pink bin in the school’s office.
